Supervise children at all times. 

Keep a bucket of water or fire extinguisher nearby. 

Light fireworks in open areas, away from buildings or dry grass. 

Maintain a safe distance after lighting. 

Check weather conditions (wind can blow sparks to unsafe areas). 

Soak used fireworks in water and dispose all crackers carefully.

Don’t re-light the fireworks that don't ignite fully. 

Don’t use fireworks indoors or in confined spaces. 

Don’t throw fireworks or point them at people or animals. 

Don’t light fireworks near flammable materials (gasoline, dry leaves). 

Don’t drink alcohol when handling fireworks. 

Don’t let children handle fireworks unsupervised. 

Don’t wear loose, flammable clothing. 

Don’t store fireworks in hot places.
